Social function: To help us do a task or make something. They can be a set of instructions or directions.

Jadi fungsi dari teks prosedur adalah untuk menjelaskan langkah - langkah dalam mengerjakan atau membuat sesuatu

Text organization (urutan teks) :

1. Goals ( the final purpose of doing the instruction). Urutan yang pertama dari teks prosedure adalah tujuan, biasanya tujuan ini diletakkan pada judul teks
2. Materials ( ingredients, utensils, equipment to do the instructions). Bahan yang digunakan, dalam hal ini mencakup bahan dan alat yang akan digunakan.
   
3. Steps ( a set of instruction to achieve the final purpose). Langkah-langkah apa saja yang harus dilakukan untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah disebutkan.
   

Language features (tata bahasa yang digunakan)

• Use of imperative (menggunakan kalimat perintah) contoh : Cut…….., Don’t mix……,
  
• Use of action verbs (menggunakan kata kerja yang menjelaskan aktifitas) contoh :turn, put dll
  
• Use of connectives (menggunakan kata penghubung ) contoh : first, then, next, finally dl

CONTOH :
Goal .....................> Home Made Fried Chicken

Ingredients : Fresh and cleaned chicken, cut into some pieces, Spices : turmeric, pepper, garlic Salt Vegeteble oil
